We haven’t been too active lately. The surprisingly nice weather made us lazy and we decided to enjoy it as long as it lasts…
In two hours (around 10am) our terrace will be sunny until late tonight
But last week Friday the weather wasn’t nice at all and I had planned to go to Sweden to pick up a box which my parents had sent. The box was supposed to contain some treats for us and Ecky and the baby clothes I’d ordered quite a while ago. I was lucky because a friend (the owner of the cute black Pug) joined and the time went by in a blink. 🙂 Oh, I shouldn’t forget that we did some grocery shopping do. A lot of Norwegians do it, but neither the customs (even staying within the allowed quota) nor the agriculture ministry like it. Norway is afraid that they may lose too much money to the Swedes… but why should we pay more than necessary?! So, we stocked up on butter, cheese, pops and other things.
The new baby clothes and our Munchkins first soft toy
My parents and I are Dortmund fans (yes, I know they screwed it on Saturday) though Junior has to get the feeling for the right colors directly from the beginning on…
The soft toy: Leo Leandro
Saturday started out blustery and we had problems to believe the weather forecast which had promised sunshine after lunch. It was just too rainy but we were wrong and the sun came and it was the start for the next days with blue sky and sun.
On Sunday Ecky had the urgent need to take a bath in “his” big bathtub which is just a stone throw away. We walked to the fjord and he got to swim, chase bigger sticks than him and run. After that we both needed a shower cause we were pretty muddy.
The view from above “Eckys bathtub”
You’ll get this look when he tries to wait patiently for you to throw a stick for him (his look reads: throw this god damn stick now! NOW!)
I’m waiting…for you….throw it!
Pretty muddy. The mud almost took of my shoes
The workers who are doing the gardening have continued to be busy and it looks like this right now. We are very satisfied and enjoy the green. Ecky loves to roll on the lawn and hates the workers aka “the intruders”
Yesterday evening then we had a slight rush which leaded to an easy but still good dinner: bagels with cream cheese, cayenne pepper and smoked salmon accompanied by a salad. Satisfying! The day ended with a spectacular sunset.
and our dinner
Right now I’m frying a batch of English muffins and later on Ecky and I will pick up our friend I and her dog Lexie (the black Pug) and we’ll go to the beach to let them swim.
I hope the time goes by quickly until tomorrow evening. Then we’ll go to another ultrasound to see our little Munchkin. He has made my belly grow a lot over the last days. A photo session with a baby photographer is already booked. Within the first two weeks after his arrival we’ll have a photo session to make sure we’ll have nice pictures of the four of us.
Have a great week!
